From May 13-15, the city of Newark, NJ will host a Peace Education Summit. It will focus on the many dimensions of building peace -- personal, community, national and international. World and national leaders such as Nobel Peace Laureates H.H. the Dalai Lama, Shirin Ebadi and Jody Williams, as well as Nobel Laureate Organizations such as the International Peace Bureau (represented by GSI President Jonathan Granoff at the Summit), Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, Jeffrey Sachs, Goldie Hawn, Mayor Cory Booker, Bob Thurman and many others will be participating.

Parliamentarians for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (PNND) is a sponsoring organization and its Global Coordinator and Recipient of the 2009 Right Livelihood Award, Alyn Ware, will also address the conference.
