Many people believe that space weapons are the new arms race. Filmmakers Stephen Sotor and Trace Gaynor, two 13 year olds from Chicago, had the opportunity to interview Astronaut Senator John Glenn, Theresa Hitchens Director or Center for Defense Information and Dr. Everett Carl Dolman at the US Air Force’s School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS). Combining humor and seriousness Stephen and Trace want to show their audience both sides of space weapons.

A short film created to launch and promote the new "International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons". The film outlines the state of nuclear weapons today and celebrates the achievements of the peace and anti-nuclear movement.
Out in the far reaches of Space there is a troop of eight "Peace Doves" with magical powers. Each dove is specially programmed to disarm only one of the eight states possessing nuclear weapons. This is a built-in security system, designed to keep the doves from falling into the wrong hands. But it also makes it harder to know where to send the doves. It is up to you to figure out which nuclear state to send each dove to.
With insight and a creative new voice, two Chicago-area 13-year olds, Stephen Sotor and Trace Gaynor, wrote, edited and produced Genie In A Bottle Unleashed, a film that explores the history and consequences of the development of the atomic bomb.
From the secrets of the Manhattan Project through the horrific devastation at Hiroshima and Nagasaki - these two 7th graders lead a new generation through our nuclear history; along the way they manage to interview Nobel prize winning scientists, the creator of the "Doomsday Clock," the mayor of Hiroshima and even a Hiroshima 7th grader about the legacy of the atomic bomb. Even more creatively, they also track down the proverbial "Genie" to find out why he has created such havoc. Screened at the United Nations, this 15-minute gem received a standing ovation.
