Disarmament and Peace Education is a program of the Global Security Institute. The Global Security Institute is dedicated to the worldwide reduction and elimination of nuclear weapons, in a series of well-defined stages accompanied by increasing verification and control.
The Disarmament and Peace Education section of this website is intended for people who care about eliminating nuclear weapons and want to become involved, but feel they need to learn more about the issues before taking the next step.
Through the DPE program , we also encourage new leadership and promote new thinking on nuclear weapons elimination through innovative educational activities. GSI collaborates with prominent leaders in other fields, including Nobel Peace Laureates, religious leaders, military experts, students, scientists and environmentalists. Through special events, reports and educational materials, GSI encourages others to incorporate nuclear abolition advocacy into their own important activities. GSI has successfully built a community of common purpose across a diverse spectrum of leadership by positioning global security as a collective human agenda. |
