The Bipartisan Security Group is dedicated to providing reliable information and analysis of global security issues to Members of Congress and their staff, with an emphasis on arms control, nonproliferation, and disarmament.
Overview
The Bipartisan Security Group consists of Republican and Democratic experts with experience in diplomacy, law, intelligence and military affairs. BSG is directed and chaired on Capitol Hill by veteran diplomats Ambassador Robert T. Grey, Jr., and Ambassador Thomas Graham, Jr.
Recent highlights include:
• Testifying before the House Subcommittee on on National Security, Emerging Threats and International Relations, on a panel focusing on "Weapons of Mass Destruction: Current Nuclear Proliferation Challenges."
• Convening multiple policy forums on Capitol Hill, briefing Congress on issues relating to weapons of mass destruction and the future of arms control and disarmament treaties.
• Organizing a Capitol Hill forum with Michael Douglas and Dr. Jane Goodall on “The Limits of Unilateralism” in cooperation with the US House of Representatives Bipartisan Task Force on Nonproliferation. [View the photo gallery.]
• Distributing policy briefs to Members of Congress on pressing topics relating to security, arms control, non-proliferation and disarmament.
• Publishing numerous op-eds in regional, national and international media outlets.
